The fish were biting today in Hawaii on our Half Day Fishing Charter. First we caught a beautiful Mahi Mahi. Next came the Ono who put up quite a fight. What an amazing sight to see when the large fish were working with the birds from above to trap the bait fish to eat. Awesome to see how nature works together. We had a few more fish strikes before we headed back to the harbor to filet and divide up the fish.
We got messages and phone calls last night about how everyone cooked there fish. Some cooked there fish blackened, some breaded and deep fried, some with capers and lemon, and some with butter and garlic. Ono(wahoo) in Hawaiian means “good to eat” and this fish definitely is delicious no matter how you choose to cook it. There is nothing quite like eating fresh caught fish in Honolulu, Oahu.
