Where does Honolulu charter fishing depart from?
We make way from Kewalo Basin Boat Harbor in Honolulu.

How long are charters?
We offer half-day 4 hour and full-day 8 hour sportfishing charters. We also offer 2 hour bottomfishing, whale watching, and sunset tours.

How many can go?
US Coast Guard Regulations allow us to carry a Maximum of 6 passengers. Shared Charters require a minimum of 4 passengers.

What kind of fish will we catch?
Most common catches Sportfishing include Pacific Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Spear Fish, Yellowfin Tuna (Ahi), Wahoo (Ono) and Mahi-Mahi. Bottom fishing we catch a variety of reef fish.

What happens to the fish?
The crew will clean and fillet servings for our customers upon return. For Private Charters, we filet up to 40 lbs. of the fish you catch that day. For Shared Charters we filet 2-3 lbs. per person from the fish caught.
*Exception – Any fish over 80 lbs. will not be cut. They are taken to our local fish auction which help sustain local businesses.

How big is the fishing boat?
35ft Bruno & Stillman Charter Fishing Boat, 12ft beam, Caterpillar 3208 Diesel engine 375hp, 13 ton displacement.

What about food and drink?
Please bring your food, snacks and drinks for the day. Coolers and ice will be provided. (Please -NO BANANAS as they are considered bad luck)

What about Alcoholic beverages?
Yes responsibly please! Its BYOB but glass containers are not allowed for safety reasons.

What can I do about seasickness?
Most people do not have motion sickness. If you are one of the unfortunate try OTC drugs containing dimenhydrinate (Dramamine). Take the night before and then 60 minutes before we depart. Please consult your physician first before taking. Staying hydrated drinking water, carbonated seltzer or ginger ale is recommended.

What else should I bring?
Camera, Sunscreen (30+ SPF) Reef Safe, Sunglasses, Hat, Light Jacket or Rain jacket, Layering clothes is best, Non Skid footwear (Surf shoes, Aqua socks and crocs are fine but flip flops are not advisable), Seasickness medication, Hand sanitizer, Food, Drinks, and Snacks.

What is Customary tip or gratuity?
Throughout the Fishing World it is customary to thank your Captain & Crews efforts with a tip. In Hawaii 17-20% is the standard rate.

What is the cancellation policy?
Contact us by phone to cancel and inquire about cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price. Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 48 hours notice prior to your scheduled tour. Customers will also receive a full refund in case of our cancellation due to weather, low capacity or other unforeseen circumstances.
* also please note: shared charters require a total of 4 fishermen per charter (not usually a problem for single bookings). We will provide ample notice if there is any conflict.
